I am amazed. I don't know if the others noticed this one thing. Maybe I'm the last to know or whatever. Okay to start the story...
I am a fan of Orkes Akiuku, the Sabah Ukulele Group. You can search for it. I began to know about them in the end of 2011 if I was correct. But they have established the group in 2009. First I'm exposed to the main vocalist, Mandy Nikko. You can search her page. I watched her cover in youtube. Wow, must be great to play uke! From that on, I keep the thought to myself that other than guitar I also want to play ukulele. Apalagi bila nampak Orkes Akiuku main, lagilah menambah semangat saya untuk mau main uke.
Alright now you know that I'll be talking about Orkes Akiuku. Back to now, I'm in my second semester of degree in Unitar Sabah. And for this semester, me and my classmates are kind of having most of time with our Tourism lecturers. All courses for this semester are about hospitality service. So there are three of our courses taught by the same lecturer. Okay let say we called her Miss Io. She is very young. And a very cool person. Very good in style.
My friend, Vivian said, "cassy, saya tengok kau kan macam gaya-gaya miss oh. suka pakai yang cool-cool. smart."
Proudly I said, "kan? boleh jadi geng kami ni."
Of course our Tourism lecturers are all pretty good looking. Let me tell you a secret. Miss Io is my role model. Because wherever she is, she always had this confident and independent, elegant look in any way. I always wanted to be a woman like Miss Io. Because this kind of person is very rare to find. Because the success and result of them today, is all from hard work and never give up attitude. That is why, I always wanted to be this strong. Even stronger.
Kadang-kadang saya rasa mungkin time miss umur-umur saya, miss pun macam saya...haha perasan!
Okay merepek banyak sudah! I want to say something, proudly. Proudly to tell that Miss Io is one of the Orkes Akiuku! Hell yeah! Why the hell, I just know now?! Ini lagi menaikkan semangat saya. Macam saya mau minta autograf time masuk kelas miss next week seja oh! To see that Miss Io is a full time lecturer of the Tourism faculty and also an entertainer, a ukulele lover, that's so wow! This makes me realized my dreams. Now I know, that anything is possible.
So I hope, when I fall apart next time, when I feel want to give up, when I feel weak, when I cry, when I'm hopeless...I hope to remember these.
P/S: Chayok-chayok Akemi! I can do it, I can do this, I can do anything! Mau tau, Miss Io saturang seja yang panggil saya Akemi. Gembira saya.
